As part of this year’s Garden Town Stellenbosch (31 October to 9 November), we’re inviting you to Spier to slow down, look closer, and get a little wild with us.
Nikki Miles of Forage Inc will be leading a botanical ink workshop that begins with a gentle guided walk through Spier’s newly opened Wilds – a meandering boardwalk through some of the farm’s most abundant and thoughtfully planted areas.
Along the way, Nikki will share what’s pickable and what’s not, as you forage for the raw materials that will become your colour palette. Back at the Cowshed’s Soil Room, she’ll demonstrate her process for extracting colour from plants and guide you through making your very own A5 botanical artwork using all-natural, hand-made inks.
Whether you’re a seasoned creative or just curious, this is a one-of-a-kind way to experience the landscape and leave with something beautiful to show for it.Booking is essential. Spaces are limited.
